Children do not buy their grocery. They are not the ones who decide on the food menu. It is the parents who buy sodas, beverages, artificial snacks to avoid cooking meals at home. Children eat what parents feed them, and so, if they become overweight, it is due to the parents. Parents must not allow kids to eat school meals that are fatty and grease prone. Many parents buy fast foods after a hard day at the workplace. They do this so that they do not have to cook at home. So, it may be said that parents are mostly responsible for ill-health of kids. It is unfortunate that now we have instances of childhood diabetes. This is all due to increasing weight or obesity. Parents should make sure that the kids do not eat unhealthy junk foods. Ask the school in-charge to offer healthy food options

This is an important step you may take to prevent obesity. Although you cannot do much about school food menu, you may ask the school in-charge to include food items on the menu that are healthy. Children must not be offered fried food or mashed potatoes. You may ask the person to feed salads, green veggies, and fruits. You may also send lunch box.

Add more fresh salads to the dinner food menu

It is crucial to plan the dinner menu much in advance. You may include salads, fruits, and soups for dinner. Do not allow your child to sit in front of the television all the time.
